European Museum of Modern Art

The European Museum of Modern Art, also known as Museu Europeu d'Art Modern (MEAM), opened in 2011 inside the old Gomis Palace in Barcelona, Spain. Rebuilt in 1792, Gomis Palace was used by French commander Marshal Lecchi during the Napoleonic invasion. Today, it is home to many art exhibits such as this one featuring sculptor Grzegorz Gwiazda.

Vietnamese Arhat Corridor

This corridor found in the Ninh Van region of Vietnam is filled with 500 unique arhat statues. The statues, made by local villagers, were each made out of stone blocks. Each statue features a unique facial expression and posture different from all 499 other statues within the corridor. In Buddhism, an Arhat is a title given to an individual who has achieved spiritual enlightenment, or nirvana.

Concorde Supersonic Airliner

The Concorde is a turbojet-powered supersonic airliner that was used in British Airways' and Air France's fleet until 2003. This particular plane, referred to as "Alpha Golf," was first flown on April 27, 1978 and sent to British Airways in 1980. This plane has logged in 16,320 flight hours during its time in service. Its last commercial flight took place on October 24, 2003 where it flew from New York City to Seattle in less than four hours.
